Authentic Animal Drawings
Hello my name is Jackie Powley,
I began drawing the year of 2014. My husband and I lost our black Pug Bandit. Bandit was my husbands little buddy. I thought I might see if I could draw a portrait of Bandit for my husbands Birthday/Christmas gift.
After drawing it, I hid the portrait at my salon, Cutting Loose Hair Design. Clientele asked where I had it drawn? I told them it was I.

In March of 2019 my pet portraits were featured in a Spectrum News story which can be seen by following this link.
Along with the Spectrum News story, while at the clothesline festival at the Memorial Art Gallery, the owners of the Brown Hound restaurant inside of the art gallery came out to find me because they heard of my drawings. After seeing my animal drawings they asked me to be the artist of the month at the restaurant in the gallery. This year I was again asked to be the featured artist in November.
On November 7th at 6pm there will be a Meet the Artist at the Brown Hound restaurant inside the Memorial Art Gallery. I invite you to stop by, see my work firsthand and meet me!
My Specialty
Drawing animal portraits has become my specialty. I will draw a portrait of any animal. Just send me a picture of an animal you would like a portrait of and I will draw them.

I use a combination of pen, ink, marker, and colored pencil to produce results that are two-dimensional and appear life like.
